Kuch Khaas presents “Double Bajao!” a live concert by Sikandar Ka Mandar (SKM) and Roots!
SKM is an indie folk-rock band based in Karachi. They released their debut, self-titled album in 2013. Their sophomore record “36 (CHHATEES)” was released in December 2017. Their current line-up consists of Nadir Shehzad on lead vocals; Zahra Paracha and Ali Suhail on backing vocals and guitar; and Raheel Manzar Paul on drums.
Roots took the nation by storm after debuting and placing third on the 2017 edition of the Pepsi Battle of the Bands. The outfit consists of members from Lahore, Karachi and Islamabad; the lineup features the guitar and synth based progressive vistas of Shamsher Rana and Mustafa Tauseef, the tribal-esque chops of drummer Daud Ramay, the warm, smooth vocals of Rutaba Yaqub, and the driven, precise sound of Nasir ‘Tuner’ Siddiqui’s bass.
