Kuch Khaas: Public Broadcasting in the time of Great Games – A case study of FATA by KuchKhaasCentre
Kuch Khaas brings you another episode of our series of talks on Islam. Interactive dialogue with our guest speakers Murtaza Solangi, DG Radio Pakistan, Dr. Abdul Jabbar, Chairman PEMRA, and Safdar Dawar, chief political correspondent of Radio Pakistan FATA.

Over 5 million residents of FATA are constantly being beamed by global and regional broadcasters. With little penetration of Pakistani TV channels in the area, the importance of radio as a medium of communication has increased. With the militant non-state actors of Pakistan running their radio networks, what is the Pakistani state doing about this? Our speakers discussed these issues and more with our audience. The dialogue on the governance of FATA was moderated by Nilofer A. Qazi.
